Loch Lomond Shores have been crowned the winners of Scotland’s Best Day Out at The Scottish Hospitality Awards at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on 13 June. The prestigious national awards recognised the outstanding achievements of a range of visitor attractions, entertainment and hospitality venues across the country.
The initial voting to shortlist stage was solely down to the public and then a panel of industry judges decided the winner from the finalists. The loch-side day trip and shopping complex beat off stiff competition from other great attractions across Scotland.
It is no wonder that the five-star attraction has received such recognition as 2015 was a record breaking year for the shopping and leisure complex with over 1.2 million visitors. This resulted in the destination being named one of the top visited Scottish attractions last year amongst Edinburgh Castle and The National Museum of Scotland by the findings collated by The Moffat Centre for Travel and Tourism Business Development.
