What made you want to work for Thorntons?
I have worked in Loch Lomond Shores before and people that already work here always joke that no one ever leaves, so when the opportunity came up to work in Thorntons I grabbed it. Oh and there is the slight benefit of all the chocolate I get to sample.
What are your personal favourites?
There is so much to choose from they are all my favourites! But if I had to choose one I would probably choose one of the Chocolate Block flavours, I haven’t tried them all yet, and they have some really unusual flavours. I really liked the Chilli Dark Chocolate and Lemon & Sea Salt.
What is popular with your customers? 
At the moment, it has got to be the range of ice cream that we sell! As soon as the sun comes out we see people flooding in to get their hands on some. Although we have some low fat flavours most people like to try the other flavours, I think the most popular has got to be Toffee Temptation, White Delight or Mint Choc Truffle.
Normally when the sun isn’t out it is probably the personalised gifts, people get them for all sorts of reasons, from engagement and wedding celebrations, to get well soon chocolates, birthdays, leaving gifts etc. This week I have seen a lot of people come in and get chocolates personalised for first day at school gifts.
So is it true… are there any health benefits to eating chocolate?
Studies have been said to suggest that eating dark chocolate can help to control both diabetes and blood pressure. Some other people believe it can reduce the risk of cancer and can prevent coughing and heart disease. None of these health benefits have been proven, but it tastes great, so that is good enough for me!!!
Why do you like working at Loch Lomond Shores?
I love getting to work in such a nice and relaxed environment it’s not like working in another shopping centre or on the high street. It’s always nice when you speak to visitors to the area who remind you just how lucky you are to work in such a beautiful location.
